How to Meet Your 30% Match

The Arkansas High-Impact Tutoring (HIT) Grant covers up to 70% of your tutoring program costs. Districts contribute the remaining 30% as a “match,” which can often be met entirely with in-kind resources like classrooms, computers, and staff you already have. That means you can implement BookNook’s high-impact virtual tutoring with little or no additional spending — and still meet every grant requirement.

1. List every room – Each dedicated tutoring room = $250.
2. List every device – Each computer used for BookNook sessions = $400.
3. Count staff time – Paras, aides, or facilitators supervising sessions count at your hourly rate or ADE’s FT facilitator rate. Be sure to include additional time for data collection/reporting.
4. Include your coordinator – Whoever manages scheduling/reporting for the grant = $6,250 toward match.
   
5. Stack items – You can claim the room + computers + facilitator time for the same session.
