Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant
If your child received a letter from their school about ATLAS and the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant, your family may qualify for up to $1,500 in state-funded literacy tutoring—at no cost to you.

How the Literacy Tutoring Grant Works
Who the Grant Is For
Your child may qualify if they:

Are in kindergarten through 3rd grade (K–3)

Attend an Arkansas public or open-enrollment charter school
-
Were identified by their school as:
-
Needing reading support, or
-
At risk for reading difficulties, or
-
Retained in 3rd grade or promoted with a good-cause exemption

If you received a letter from your school or district, your child may be eligible.
What You’ll Need to Apply
Before you start the application, please have:

Your child’s school name and school district
✅ A working email address is important. This is how you’ll receive approval updates.
If you don’t have all this information, your school office can help you.
What happens after you apply:
Here’s what to expect after you submit your application:

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) reviews your application.

You will receive an email from ClassWallet with your approval status.

If approved, you’ll be guided through setting up your ClassWallet account.

Once your account is ready, you can use your grant funds with a state-approved tutoring provider.
Most families hear back within about two weeks.
