BookNook unites a team of highly trained virtual tutors with research-driven instruction to accelerate student achievement using synchronous high-dosage tutoring.
- Based on research: Our program supports students' progress towards mastery using best practices grounded in the science of reading. A recent study earned BookNook an ESSA Tier 1 classification.
- Synchronous Learning: Students engage remotely with vetted tutors in 1:1 or small groups for 30-minute live sessions on a district-defined schedule. Research indicates substantial gains with 20+ sessions (10+ hours).
- Collaborative Experience: Students work with a dedicated tutor for the duration of the instructional cycle.
- High-quality Tutors: All tutors go through BookNook Tutor Certification, with many participating in ongoing professional development.
